Your biggest benefit will be the satisfaction of supporting and contributing SPOKES in its work to encourage cycling by organising rides and campaigning for better and safer cycling routes.
What does SPOKES give you?
SPOKES Web Site: This brings together the various resources and information available to its members.
Rides you can join: SPOKES offers a programme of led rides as well as organising multi-day ride cycling events and holidays.
Routes you can enjoy: SPOKES offers a Routes For All library of over 1,000 miles of checked routes supported by both GPX files and narrative directions and details of points of interest to make your rides more interesting.
Campaigning for Cycling: SPOKES campaigns both to get better conditions for cycling in South West Hertfordshire and to encourage more people to enjoy cycling.
Members’ Routes To Ride: Members can share their favourite routes through the web site.
Strava Club: SPOKES’ Strava Club allows you to see where other members are riding and how your activity compares with theirs.
Facebook Group: Our Facebook provides details of forthcoming rides from the programmer as well as ad hoc rides. It provides a forum for members to share their cycling experiences as well as discussing issues the members are passionate about.
Members’ Discounts: SPOKES members can obtain a discount from the following organisations. The cycling shops may offer it on some or all of spares, accessories and servicing and may be 10% but the discount and what it covers should be checked with the shop. Remember to have your SPOKES membership card available.
