This Ride is postponed to Wednesday 7 August. This is due to the Weather Forecast for Wednesday and too few riders able to change to this Thursday. Hopefully more of us can enjoy a dry ride in August.
A day out, riding via Moor Park, Harefield, Denham, Wraysbury (Karellies Coffee Shop short stop 22 miles), Staines, Woking then to lunch stop (and meet other riders joining us for the rest of the ride) at Costa Coffee, Guildford Station. Onward via Smallford, Loxwood, Billingshurst (short stop at Whisperers Cafe 61 miles) and Arundel to Littlehampton. Return by train. 2711 feet of climbing, some challenging. Cost of train back £30 full price so expect to pay under £20 with Group Saver or railcard discounts.
We aim at 19:40 train back, change at Clapham Junction, arrive Watford Junction 22:23.
Lights needed if cycling home from Watford. Bike locks needed, we cannot always see our bikes e.g. Guildford Station. Route mainly on roads, including "A" roads with small amount of well surfaced (except one short possibly walking stretch) traffic free cycle ways. Some lovely views.
