9.59 am Train to Euston, ride to St Pancras then a train to arrive Ramsgate 12:27. Cycle the Viking trail, a quiet road and coastal trail (well surfaced). Hopefully anti clockwise so we can have a sea front lunch snack but clockwise if strong coastal breezes from the north. About a third of the route is coastal, from Ramsgate to Reculver, then quiet lanes back to Ramsgate. Evening meal at the very large seafront Wetherspoon aiming to return on the 20:20 from Ramsgate arriving Watford 23:19 (or earlier train). Approximate fare £37 with railcard or group saver tickets. Please note I wrongly listed the Ride as starting from Margate in the SPOKES Summer News Letter, my apologies, we ride from Ramsgate so train times in this post are the correct ones.
The ride to and from Ramsgate Station is 33 Miles, medium pace but we will take time to enjoy the views and seaside location. Suitable for any bike.
