An additional ride. Thursday 19 April. Would you like to join me for a reconnoitre of my planned summer train and bike ride to Eastbourne? 9.30 a.m. meet at Watford Junction Station to catch 9.52 train to Uckfield. Cycle Uckfield to Eastbourne by Road and the Cuckoo trail. Cuckoo trail well surfaced so suitable for any bike. For the reconnoiter we will cycle back to Uckfield so a total of about 50 miles with meal break in Eastbourne.
Medium pace ride. Aiming to be back in Watford 9 to 10 p.m. Never done the route before so potentially a learning experience but looks very straight forward. Train fare about £17 return less card or group saver discounts if applicable. Limited to 4 riders including me as it is a new route for me.
