Ride part of the Chiltern Heritage Cycling Trail

Join Brian for this 35 mile ride. We follow the canal towpath as far as the Coy Carp and then head towards Chalfont St Peter to join the Milton Trail. We follow the Trail to Amersham where we stop for refreshments at the Saracens Head. After a short sharp climb we continue following the trail to Chorleywood where we leave it to return to the start via Loudwater. Lovely scenery and not too hilly - around 1600' over the 35 miles. Short section of off-road and towpath so hybrid, touring or mountain bike would be best. It's a medium paced ride so expect to average 10mph.
