This ride will happen but the Ride Leader will probably change to Peter Jackson due to Charles being unwell at present and unlikely to recover in sufficient time to be fit for the ride. The main objective is the museum visit with the ride being the means of getting there. We intend spending time going around the museum.
Ride with Charles or Peter to visit the De Havilland Museum at Salisbury Hall. Admission charge £12 (£10 concessions). Refreshment stop at Orchard Café at Shenley Park. Return via Bricket Wood. Part of the ride is off road. Mountain bikes are not necessary but this part of the route may not be suitable for bikes with skinny tyres or small wheels. There is an alternative route on tarmacked B roads.
This is a 20 miles Spokes slow/medium pace ride (speed dependent on participants) suitable for Touring, Hybrid, or Mountain bikes. Charles's and Peter's (Rides Coordinator) contact details are in the Spokes Summer News Letter.
