Bruges Cycling Holiday 2025

6 night cycling trip in Belgium based in Bruges 4th to 10th July 2025

Approximate cost £400, including bed and breakfast, bike storage and ferry to and from Belgium. Final costs depend on numbers and room sharing

All cycle rides are optional and will be at medium pace

Note that you will need to carry your luggage for the week on your bike between the ferry and hotel in Bruges. Therefore, panniers are recommended. Don’t forget lock, repair kit and pump

Each person is responsible for own transport to and from Dover

First come first served for places, but there will be a waiting list in case of cancellation

Note that the start date has been changed from Sunday 6th to Friday 4th July 2025

Accommodation

• Black Swan Hotel, Ridderstraat 15, 8000 Brugge, Belgium
  • Twin and three bed rooms

Travel

• DFDS Ferry, Dover to Dunkirk
  • Out 08:00 4th July, meet at Ferry 06:30
  • Return 10th July. Estimate land Dover 17:00

Payment

• When your place is confirmed by email you will be asked to transfer £100 deposit
  • If this is not paid you may lose your place
• Remainder of payment required 15th June

Travel insurance

Responsibility of each person but travel insurance is strongly recommended

Travel documents

Current entry requirements from the UK as of 2024:

• Passport valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Belgium issued less than 10 years before the date of entry to Belgium
• ETIAS travel authorisation is required for entry to EU countries from the first half of 2025
• Covid vaccination etc. evidence NOT required
• Use the ‘All Passports’ lane at Passport Control
• Each person is responsible that they meet requirements in place at date of travel!

Cancellation

• Ferry travel
  • Each individual is responsible for any cancellation fee they incur
• Hotel accommodation
  • Hotel accommodation, In the unlikely event of the entire trip being cancelled the following applies:
  • between 3 and 2 months before arrival 25 % of the total amount
  • between 2 and 1 month before arrival 50 % of the total amount
  • between 30 and 14 days before arrival 75 % of the total amount
  • less than 14 days before arrival 100 % of the total amount
  • In the case of an individual or one room cancellation the Hotel will try and be flexible. In either case each guest is responsible for any cancellation cost they incur
