Ride along quiet lanes through pretty mid-Herts countryside via various Ayot villages. Refreshment stop at Emily's in Whitwell and another Ayot on the return. All paved roads, 1500ft of climbing. Alternative start point: Nomansland Common Car Park, Ferrers Lane AL4 8EG at 10:45 which could suit anyone cycling from St. Albans.
